In 2001, the company expanded into the alarm and security camera sector, building a solid foundation in physical security services. By 2004, BGPS took another major step forward by introducing access control and smart systems, providing advanced technology solutions for both residential and commercial properties. In 2006, the company broadened its scope further, adding fire alarm systems and comprehensive low voltage installation services, solidifying its reputation as a full-service provider of security and infrastructure solutions.
A pivotal moment came in 2008 when Gabriel Moraru joined BGPS as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and partner. Gabriel brought with him a wealth of experience in software development and IT infrastructure. Under his leadership, BGPS developed IT-based CCTV security systems, which allowed the company to expand its product offerings and attract larger commercial customers. This technological innovation also facilitated the company’s growth beyond the New York area, extending its footprint across the United States.
In 2016, BGPS began a key partnership with a major rental car brand, providing state-of-the-art CCTV security systems for airport and off-airport operations. This collaboration marked a significant milestone in the company’s expansion into the transportation and logistics sectors.
The company’s trajectory took another major leap in 2018 when BGPS formed a strategic partnership with PlateSmart Technologies, a leader in license plate recognition (LPR) software. This partnership culminated in the creation of ALPR Hosting Solutions in 2021, a joint venture that delivers integrated CCTV and LPR solutions. These advanced technologies are now utilized by law enforcement agencies, fleet and logistics companies, as well as the rental car industry for asset management, crime prevention, police investigations, and operational efficiency.
